Joel Mills is Director for Music at British Council, the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations. Joel leads on a programme of international music, arts and culture projects that create international professional exchange and collaborative opportunities. She spent several months in South Africa as Director Arts in sub-Saharan Africa for British Council, she has also worked works extensively on programmes across South Asia, East Asia, including Japan, Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam. She has developed major programmes including showcasing at SXSW and The Great Escape, working with BFI and Boiler Room on film and music projects, and cross-disciplinary programmes in arts, music and technology.
