CREATING COMMUNITY IMPACT THROUGH BRAND & MUSIC PARTNERSHIPS

Since 2016 the Levi’s Music Project has been providing access to music and a safe space to create in local communities around the world. Bringing young people in Hamburg, Manchester, Paris, Birmingham and Tottenham together with their musical heroes including Skepta, Everything Everything and Mist who have mentored them and given them the confidence to create their own music against the backdrop of the communities they call home. This year, Levi’s became Liverpool Football Club’s official denim partner, as well as bringing lifelong LFC fan Loyle Carner to host the Levi’s Music Project at the Lighthouse Community Centre in Anfield, in a purpose built studio where a group of young people have worked with Loyle to develop their music, with their experience culminating in a performance at Sound City on the first May bank holiday weekend.

This panel will talk to the people behind the Levi’s Music Project, which uniquely brings together a world renowned fashion brand, football club, major label, Brit nominated recording artist and a local community & arts centre, to create a project that promotes shared values and importantly learning, development, collaboration, enthusiasm and passion all centred around music.
